Ipinalilipat na ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang Development Academy of the Philippines mula sa Office of the President patungo sa National execonomic and Development Authority.
Base sa Executive Order No. 45 na nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, bahagi ito ng rightsizing policy ng administrasyon.
Layunin din nito na kailangan ang malakas na ugnayan ng NEDA at DAP para sa human resource development programs, research, data collection, at information services.
“Pursuant to the rightsizing policy of the national government, it is imperative to streamline and rationalize the functional relationships of agencies with complementary mandates to promote coordination, efficiency, and organizational coherence in the bureaucracy,” saad ng EO.
Binuo ang DAP sa ilalim ng Presidential Decree No. 205.
