Kaligtasan ng mga motorista, pedestrians pinatitiyak sa LTO
Pinatitiyak ni Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista sa Land Transportation Office (LTO) na ligtas ang mga kalsada sa mga motorista at mga pedestrians.
Pahayag ito ni Bautista matapos maitala ang 11,000 na road crach related deaths sa bansa kada taon.
Pangunahing dahilan ng aksidente sa kalsada ang lasing na pagmamaneho, over speeding, pagti-text habang nagmamaneho at human behavior.
“I expect the regional directors to do their share in implementing our programs on road safety. I expect you to be proactive at raising awareness, to prevent road accidents and to quickly respond to victims of mishaps,” pahayag ni Bautista.
“This is a huge part of your responsibility. Include in that advocacy the safety of children. Support our efforts to reduce road traffic crashes involving children,” dagdag ni Bautista.
Sabi ni Bautista, dapat na tiyakin ng LTO na maiibsan ang bilang ng mga nasawi dahil sa aksidente sa kalsada.
