Hinikayat ng National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP)alumni officials ang publiko na makiisa at suportahan ang gobyerno sa gitna ng ginagawang pangha-harass ng Chinese Coast Guard sa mga Filipino sa West Philippine Sea.
Ayon kay Capt. Aldrin Cuña, Secretary General ng NDCP Alumni Association Inc. (NDCPAAI), dapat na maging mapagmatyag ang publiko at bantayan ang mga galaw ng China.
“It is not only our right but our duty to protect it when parties launch aggressive acts to challenge our sovereignty and curb our activities over what is legally ours,” pahayag ni Cuña.
Sabi ni Cuña, napakahalaga ng West Philippine Sea sa mga Filipino at maging sa susunod pang mga henerasyon.
Ginawa ng grupo ang pahayag matapos banggain ng dalawang Chinese Coast Guard ships ang barko ng Philippine Coast Guard na nasa loob ng exclusive economic zone.
“The best defense against falsehood are facts which we can learn by educating ourselves about what our country’s rights are over West Philippine Sea and the legitimacy of our actions there,” pahayag ni Cuña.
