PPA bibilisan pagpapatayo ng cruise ports para sa turismo
Para mapabilis ang pagpapasigla pa sa industriya ng turismo sa bansa, mamadaliin naman ng Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) ang pagpapaganda ng mga pasilidad sa mga port sa bansa, gayundin ang pagpapatayo ng mga port para sa cruise tourism.
Kasunod ito nang pagkilala sa Pilipinas bilang “Best Cruise Destination in Asia 2023.”
Ayon kay PPA General Manager Jay Santiago ang mga kasalukuyang proyekto ay para sa mas komportable at ligtas na pagbiyahe ng mga pasahero ng cruise vessels.
“We are proud that the Philippines has finally received the Best Cruise Destination Award which only recognized the measures being implemented by the national government, through the Department of Tourism and other agencies that include the PPA,” ani Santiago.
Inaasahan na may 40,000 banyagang turista pa ang dadating sa bansa sa pamamagitan ng cruise ships hanggang sa Disyembre.
Nabatid na simula nang magbalik ang cruise tourism noong Pebrero, may 46,657 pasahero ng cruise vessels ang dumating sa pamamagitan ng ilang Philippine ports hanggang noong nakaraang buwan.
