Cayetano: Kailangan ng matatag na cybersecurity kontra digital highway robbery

Naalarma si Senator Alan Peter Cayetano sa mga nangyayaring “hacking incidents” sa websites ng mga ahensiya ng gobyerno.
“Napakadelikado ng hacking for many reasons. One, it can destroy certain institutions and systems that we believe in,” aniya.
Partikular na ikinabahala ni Cayetano ang ginawa sa Philhealth website dahil sa pagbabanta ng hackers na isapubliko ang mga pribado at sensitibong impormasyon.
“Pinaka-concern ako sa Philhealth kasi masyadong sensitive ang data ng treatment mo at ano ang sakit mo. The more important the data in terms of sensitivity, dapat mas pinoprotektahan,” dagdag pa ng namumuno sa Senate Committee on Science and Technology.
Kayat, diin niya dapat ay palakasin ng husto ang cybersecurity measures at gawin na ito sa pinakamadaling panahon.
“If we dont solve it, magkakaroon ng mas sinister na mangyayari because information is power,” diin ni Cayetano.
