Tiniyak ng Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) na masusing pinag-aralan ang pag-apruba sa petisyon para sa dagdag-singil sa mga motorista na gagamit sa Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) simula ngayon araw, Oktubre 17.
“NLEX Corp. had to comply with all the procedures and requirements, including the publication and posting of surety bond, before the Notice to Start Collection was issued on August 16, 2023. These provisional toll rate adjustments shall still be subject to further review by the TRB pursuant to its existing rules,” ayon sa TRB.
Sa ilalim ng bagong toll fee matrix, magdadagdag ng P65 na bayad ang mga Class 1 vehicle na gagamit sa end to end ng SCTEX, P131 para sa Class 2 at P196 para sa Class 3.
Ang NLEX Corp., ang toll operator ng SCTEX at naghain ito ng toll rate adjustments’ petitions noong 2020 at 2022.
Para naman maibsan ang epekto ng toll hike sa mga motorista, ipinag-utos ng TRB na ipatupad ito sa loob ng tatlong taon.
Sa sulat ng NLEX Corp. sa TRB na may petsang Oktubre 6, sinabi nito na ang unang pagtaas sa toll ay kanilang gagawin ng Oktubre 17.
