Pag-repeal ng Automatic Appropriations Law, inihirit ng environmentalists

Nagsagawa ng kilos protesta ang mga environmentalists sa  Mendiola Street sa Manila.

Ito ay bilang bahagi sa Global Week of Action for Debt, Climate, and Economic Justice march-demonstration.

Ayon kay Lidy Nacpil ng Asian Peoples’ Movement on Debt and Development (APMDD), ipinapapanawagan ng kanilang hanay ang debt cancellation ng illegitimate debts kasama na ang mga utang ng namayapang si dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

Nais din ng grupo na i-repeal ng pamahalaan ang Automatic Appropriations Law na inaprubahan noon ni Marcos Sr.

Nag-martsa pa ang grupo mula sa University of Sto. Tomas bago nagtungo sa Mendiola.

Sinira din ng grupo ang bitbit na tatlong ulo ng dragon na sumisimbolo sa International monetary Fund, World bank at G7 governments at ipinanawagan ang debt cancellation, climate finance at levying wealth taxes ng mga mayayaman.

Kasama ng APMDD sa kilos protesta ang  Freedom from Debt Coalition (FDC), Oriang, Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino (BMP), SANLAKAS, Aniban ng mga Manggagawa sa Agrikultura (AMA) at Philippine Movement for Climate Justice (PMCJ).

Nagsagawa rin ng sabayang kilos protesta ang mga environmentalists sa India, Indonesia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh at Pakistan.
