Angara, Ejercito sinabing kailangan ng DICT, DOJ ng secret fund
Naniniwala ang ilang senador na kailangan ng confidential and intelligence fund (CIF) ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) at ng Department of Justice (DOJ) sa susunod na taon para sa paglaban sa cybercrimes.
Ayon kay Sen. Sonny Angara, ang namumuno sa Senate Committee on Finance, kailangan ng DICT ng pondo para labanan ang mga banta sa cybersecurity.
Aniya ang cybercrime ang bagong pamamaraan ng pakikidigma ngayon ay kailangan na maging handa ang gobyerno.
“You can paralyze a government online. So yun ang mga dapat tignan natin,” ani Angara sabay dagdag: “Pag-aralan natin, baka outdated na yung ways of thinking natin.”
Samantala, iginiit ni Deputy Majority Leader JV Ejercito na kailangan ng CIFs ng mga ahensiya na nangangalaga sa pambansang seguridad.
“My position is that confidential and intelligence funds are better left with departments or agencies that has something to do with national security and fight against criminality,” ani Ejercito.
Isinusulong niya ang alokasyon ng CIF sa DICT, DOJ at NBI para mapalakas ang kampaniya ng mga ito laban sa cybercrimes.
“Because this also pertains to national security and cybercrime which victimizes thousands everyday specially the more vulnerable in the society. Cybercrime is the new enemy of society,” diin ni Ejercito.
