Hinubad na P1.23-B “secret funds” inilipat sa Pag-Asa Island airport, PCG, intel agencies
May rekomendasyon na ang komite ng mga kongresista na paglilipatan ng higit P1.23 bilyon “confidential funds” na inalis sa Office of Vice President (OVP) at tatlong kagawaran.
Inirekomenda na mailipat ang inalis na pondo sa mga ahensiya na nagbabantay sa mga kaganapan sa West Philippine Sea (WPS), gayundin ang pagsasa-ayos ng airport sa Pag-Asa Island.
– ₱300 million sa National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA)
– ₱100 million sa National Security Council (NSC)
– ₱200 million sa Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) para sa intelligence operations at pagbili ng mga bala at
– ₱381.8 million sa Department of Transportation (DOTr) para naman sa airport development/expansion ng Pag-asa Island Airport.
Sinabi pa ni Marikina City Rep. Stella Quimbo na ang rekomendasyon na dagdag pondo sa DOTr ay bukod pa sa P3 bilyon na nailaan na sa naturang paliparan sa WPS.
Si Quimbo ay miyembro ng komite na humimay sa 2024 General Appropriations Bill (GAB) at nagdesisyon na alisin ang confidential fund ng OVP, Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Agriculture (DA) at Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
Kasama sa komite sina House Appropriations Commitee Chairperson Elizaldy Co, House Majority Leader Manuel Jose Dalipe, at House Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan.
