Mataas na requirement, mababang suweldo ugat ng “unfilled positions” sa gobyerno – Villanueva

Ibinahagi ni Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva ang dalawang maaring dahilan kayat mataas pa rin ang porsiyento ng “unfilled positions” sa maraming tanggapan ng gobyerno.
Ayon kay Villanueva, mataas ang requirement para sa mga naturang posisyon at mababa ang suweldo kumpara aniya sa pribadong sektor.
“And that’s the reason why we wanted to study further this particular issue and find out how we can address this worsening problem that’s been there for almost a decade now,” aniya.Binanggit nito na sa Department of Justice (DOJ), sa 26,926 authorized positions, 22,518 lamang ang napunan at may bakante na 4,408 posisyon. Ipinaalam naman sa senador na 975 lamang ang bakante sa DOJ, bagamat mayroon din sa mga ahensiya na nasa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ng kagawaran at ang mga ito ay may sariling “selection and promotion process.” May bakanteng posisyon para sa prosecutor bagamat nagsimula na ang “selection process” at may naghihintay na lamang na maitalaga ng Malakanyang.
