Positibo sa Paralytic Shellfish Poison o toxic red tide ang shellfish na nakukuha sa ilang baybayin sa Pilipinas.
Ayon sa Philippine Coast Guard, positibo sa red tide ang Sapian Bay (Ivisan at Sapian sa Capiz, Mambuquiao at Camanci, Batan sa Aklan); coastal waters ng Panay; Pilar; President Roxas; Roxas City sa Capiz; coastal waters sa Gigantes Islands, Carles sa Iloilo; coastal waters sa Dauis at Tagbilaran City sa Bohol; at Dumanquillas Bay sa Zamboanga del Sur.
Bawal kainin ang shellfish at Acetes sp. o alamang na nakukuha sa mga nabanggit na lugar.
Ligtas namang kainin ang isda, pusit, hipon, at alimango basta’t siguraduhin na maayos ang pagkaluto.
Kinakailangan din na tanggalin ang hasang at kaliskis bago lutuin.
