Gilas Pilipinas nanalo ng gintong medalya sa Asian Games
Matapos ang 61 taon, nasungkit ng Pilipinas ang gintong medalya sa men’s basketball sa 19th Asian Games na ginaganap ngayon sa Hangzhou, China.
Ito ay matapos talunin ng Gilas Pilipinas ang Jordan sa iskor na 70-60.
Taong 1962 nang huling makapag-uwi ng gintong medalya ang Pilipinas sa basketball sa Asian Games nang talunin ang China.
Nanalo ang Pilipinas matapos kumamada ng 20 puntos si Justin Brownlee, 10 rebounds at limang assists.
Inayudahan pa ito ni Ange Kouame ng 14 puntos at Chris Newsome at Scottie Thompson ng tig 13 puntos.
Si Tim Cone na ang nagsilbing coach ng Gilas Pilipinas matapos palitan si Coach Chot Reyes.
