P38.86 bilyong pondo inilaan para sa allowance ng mga guro
Naglaan ang Department of Budget and Management ng P38.63 bilyong pondo para sa career advancement at allowance ng mahigit 900,000 na guro sa mga pampublikong paaralan.
Kukunin ang pondo sa 2024 National Expenditure Program (NEP).
Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, layunin nito na maibsan ang hirap ng mga guro sa sitwasyon sa trabaho, sa ilalim ng Programs, Activities, Projects (PAPs) ng Department of Education (DepEd).
Sabi ni Pangandaman, mahalaga ang papel ng mga guro sa paghubog ng kaisipan ng kabataang Pilipino.
Ipinagdiriwang ngayon ang World Teacher’s Day.
“I believe that the development of our country is fueled by education, skills, and talent. And this could only be achieved with the dedication, hard work, and passion of our teachers. Hindi natin dapat pabayaan ang ating mga guro,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.
“Our teachers have the power to shape our nation by molding our future leaders to be even better citizens. Teachers always carry with them the potential to influence and make a difference in the young lives they touch,” dagdag pa ng kalihim.
