Sen. Pia Cayetano dismayado sa Philhealth dahil sa mga utang

Inilahad ni Senator Pia Cayetano ang labis na pagkadismaya sa Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) dahil sa mga utang nito sa mga pribadong ospital sa bansa.
Ayon kay Cayetano hindi naman makakaila na magkaiba ang serbisyong pangkalusugan at medikal sa mga pribadong ospital kumpara sa mga ospital ng gobyerno.
Sa pagdinig sa proposed P311.3 billion 2024 budget ng Deparment of Health (DOH) ng Senate Finance Sub-Committee D, hindi na nakapagpigil si Cayetano at sinita ang Philhealth.
Aniya kaya galit na galit ang mga pribadong ospital sa Philhealth dahil matagal na ang mga pagkaka-utang sa mga ito ng ahensiya.
Tinanong din ni Cayetano ang mga opisyal kung ano ang balak upang maresolba ang isyu.
”I chaired two very important budgets, health and education, and in both sectors private participation is important. The government has no intention of making everything with public sector, we want the private sector to be our partner in good standing,” dagdag pa ng senadora.
