Chinese barriers sa Bajo de Masinloc puwedeng alisin – Remulla
Maaring ipatanggal ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas ang “floating barriers” na inilagay ng Chinese Coast Guard sa Scarborough Shoal o Bajo de Masinloc sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).
Ito ang personal na paniniwala ni Justice Sec. Jesus Crispin Remulla sa pagsasabing: “It’s within our exclusive economic zone then we will just declare it to be such and that it’s a violation of our right to exclusive economic zone and we can remove this thing.”
Dahil sa floating barriers hindi makapangisda ang mga Filipino sa naturang bahagi ng WPS.
Nilinaw naman niya na dahil ito ay personal niyang pananaw kailangan na mapagkasunduan sa Ehekutibo ang gagawing mga legal na hakbang.
Dagdag pa niya na sa kanyang pananaw ay nalabag ang mga karapatan ng Pilipinas sa ilalim ng United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
Makikipagpulong aniya siya sa mga opisyal ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Office of the Solicitor General (OSG), at Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) para pag-usapan ang sitwasyon.
