Parlade, Badoy “guilty” sa red tagging – Ombudsman

Naging kasiraan ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) ang “red tagging” na ginawa ng dalawang dating tagapagsalita nito.

Ito ang sinabi ni Ombudsman Samuel Martires at aniya guilty sina retired Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade, Jr. at dating Usec. Lorraine Badoy, sa “guilty of conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service.”

Pinagsabihan ng Office of the Ombudsman ang dalawa sa kanilang mga pahayag na nakasira sa mga progresibong grupo.

May petsa na Agosto 9 ang desisyon ngunit inilabas ito ngayon araw lamang.

Inireklamo ang dalawa noong 2020 ng National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers (NUPL) gayundin si National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr.

Sa reklamo, inakusahan ng tatlo ang ilang progresibong grupo na “fronts” ng Communist Party of the Philippines, New People’s Army, at  National Democratic Front of the Philippines.

Ayon sa NUPL dahil sa mga pahayag ay nalagay sa panganib ang kanilang mga buhay, kalayaan ar seguridad.

Sinabi ni Martires na hindi na paalala lamang ang kanilang gagawing  kapag naulit ang mga katulad na pahayag.
