Higit 63,864 PUV operators nabiyayaan na ng fuel subsidy

Matapos mabigyan ng “go signal” ng Commission on Elections (Comelec), sinimulan na agad ng  Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang pamamahagi ng fuel subsidy sa public utility vehicle (PUV) operators.

Sinabi ni LTFRB Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III ang “spending ban” kaugnay sa nalalapit na Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections ang dahilan kayat hindi naipamahagi ang subsidiya noong Setyembre 13.

Aniya naghain muna sila ng petisyon sa Comelec para payagan sila na maipamahagi ang fuel subsidy.

Agad na nakapag-deposito ng naturang ayuda sa 63,864 PUV operators.

Nabatid na aabot sa 1.36 milyon ang benepisaryo ng ayuda, 280,000 ay PUV’s, 93,000 tricycle operators at 150,000 delivery service riders.

Sa guideline, P10,000 ang one-time cash assistance sa jeepney at UV Express operators at P6,500 naman sa iba pang PUV operators.
