P5.768-T 2024 national budget inihirit ni PBBM Jr., sa Kongreso na agad ipasa
Hiniling ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., ang agarang pagpasa ng House Bill 8980 o ang 2024 General Appropriations Bill, ang hinihinging P5.768 trilyong pambansang pondo sa susunod na taon.
Ibinahagi ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez sa mga miyembro ng Kamara ang mensahe ni Pangulong Marcos Jr.
Ikinatuwiran ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., na mahalaga na maipasa agad ang panukalang pambansang budget para matiyak na magtuloy-tuloy ang operasyon ng gobyerno.
“This is in order to address the need to maintain continuous government operations following the end of the current fiscal year (FY), to expedite the funding of various programs, projects, and activities for FY 2024, and to ensure budgetary preparedness that will enable the government to effectively perform its Constitutional mandate,” ang bahagi ng mensahe ng Punong Ehekutibo.
Ipinadala din kay Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri ang kopya ng mensahe, gayundin kay Presidential Adviser on Legislative Affairs Secretary Mark Llandro Mendoza.
Kinumpirma ni Presidential Communications Sec. Cheloy Garafil ang pag-sertipika bilang “urgent” ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., sa naturang panukala.
