Speaker Romualdez umapila ng tigil taas-presyo sa mga produktong-petrolyo
Umapila si House Speaker Martin Romualdez sa Department of Energy (DOE) at sa mga kompaniya ng langis na maglatag ng mga istratehiya para maibsan ang epekto ng patuloy na pagtaas ng presyo ng mga produktong petrolyo.
Ginawa ito ni Romualdez sa “consultative meeting” sa oil industry players sa Batasan Complex.
Layon aniya ng pulong na hikayatin ang mga kompaniya ng langis na kung maari ay ihinto muna ang dagdag-presyo sa kanilang mga produkto hanggang sa Kapaskuhan.
Kasabay nito ang kanyang paaala na hindi magdadalawang isip na kumilos ang Kongreso kapag mabubuko na bahagi ng problema ang mga kompaniya.
“If you are part of the solution, Congress will be very appreciative and supportive of you. But if you are part of the problem, we might have to undertake measures that would be unpalatable to you,” paalala ni Romualdez.
Ngayon araw ang ika-11 sunod na pagtaas ng presyo ng diesel at kerosene, samantalang pang-10 naman sa gasolina.
