Pope Francis, aminadong dapat mag-sorry ang Simbahan sa gay people

Sinabi ni Pope Francis na dapat na humingi ng paumahin ang Simbahang Katoliko sa mga “gay people” dahil sa naging pagtrato sa kanila noon ng simbahan.

Sa kaniyang pahayag, sinabi ng Santo Papa na walang karapatan ang Simbahan na husgahan ang gay community at dapat sila ay inirerespeto.

Sinabi din ng Santo Papa na dapat ding mag-sorry ang Simbahan sa iba pang tao nan a-marginalised ng simbahan, gaya na lamang ng mga kababaihan, mahihirap, at mga bata.

Ang pahayag ay ginawa ng Santo Papa sa panayam sa kaniya ng mga mamamahayag habang nasa eruplano pabalik ng Roma mula sa kaniyang biyahe sa Armenia.

“I will repeat what the catechism of the Church says, that they [homosexuals] should not be discriminated against, that they should be respected, accompanied pastorally. I think that the Church not only should apologise… to a gay person whom it offended but it must also apologise to the poor as well, to the women who have been exploited, to children who have been exploited by [being forced to] work. It must apologise for having blessed so many weapons,” sinabi ng Santo Papa.

Si Pope Francis ay umaani ng papuri mula sa gay community dahil sa positibong mga pahayag niya sa homosexuals.
