MOU sa pagpapalakas sa agrikultura sinelyuhan sa ASEAN Summit

JAKARTA,INDONESIA—Nilagdaan ng Pilipinas at walo pang bansa na kasapi ng Association of Southeast Asian Nations-Business Advisory Council ang memorandum of understanding para sa pagtutulungan sa agrikultura at pagpapalakas ng small businesses.

Layunin ng kasunduan na maisagawa ang mga pag-aaral at mentorship channels sa mga Filipino para sa agrikultura, agriculture technology, food security, at agri-preneurship business models at value chain development sa small, medium, and large farmers, enterprises, at government entities

Nagkasundo rin ang mga kasaping bans ana magkaroon ng alinaw na istratehiya sa climate change.

“All member-states also agreed to jointly promote effective strategies in addressing climate change and ensure a sustainable agribusiness environment,” pahayag  ng Presidential Communications Office.

Inaasahang magbubunga rin ito ng trade at investment opportunities sa ilang produktong pang-agrikultura tulad ng rubber, bigas, mais, prutas, at gulay.

Kabilang sa mga lumagda  sa MOU ang Thailand, Brunei, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, at Indonesia.
