Marcos naalarma sa militarisasyon sa South China Sea
JAKARTA, INDONESIA—Labis na nabahala si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa ginagawang militarisasyon ng sa South China Sea.
Naalarma ang Pangulo sa ilegal na aktibidad na nangyayari sa strategic waterway.
Ginawa ni Pangulong Marcos ang pahayag sa Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) meeting with South Korea sa Jakarta, Indonesia.
“We share concerns on the militarization of reclaimed features; the dangerous use of coast guard and maritime militia vessels; and other coercive activities. We are equally alarmed by illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing which are being detected,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Nagpapasalamat ang Pangulo sa Korea pati na sa mga kaalyadong bansa na Japan at Amerika sa pagbibigay halaga sa international law para mapanatili ang stability sa Indo-Pacific.
Hindi naman direktang tinukoy ni Pangulong Marcos ang China.
