Tinaasan ng Department of Budget and Management ang pondo ng Department of Social Welfare and Development sa susunod na taon.
Ayon kay DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, nasa P209.9 bilyong pondo ang laan sa DSWD, mas mataas ito ng 5.22 porsyento o P10.4 bilyon kumpara sa P199.5 bilyong pondo ngayong taon.
Paliwanag ni Pangandaman, naka-angkla ito sa tema na ‘Agenda for Prosperity: Securing a Future-Proof and Sustainable Economy.’
“The proposed national budget is framed based on the 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda and will continue to support the goals of the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.
Sa naturang pondo, nasa P118.5 bilyon ang nakalaan sa Promotive Programs kung saan saklaw nito ang flagship social protection projects gaya ng conditional cash transfer, community-driven development, at sustainable livelihood.
Sakop na rin nito ang Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) na nasa P112.84 bilyon at Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), na nasa P5.6 bilyon.
Nasa P4.1 bilyon ang nakalaan sa Supplementary Feeding Program.
Nasa P1.9 bilyon ang laan para sa Disaster Response and Rehabilitation Program habang nasa P1.3 bilyon sa Quick Response Fund (QRF).
