Arnolfo Teves kinasuhan ng murder dahil sa Degamo killing
Sinampahan na ng kasong murder si dating Negros Oriental Congressman Arnolfo Teves.
Ito ay may kaugnayan sa pagpatay kay Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.
Sa pulong balitaan sa Quezon City, sinabi ni Department of Justice spokesman Mico Clavano, hinihintay na lamang ngayon ang warrant of arrest laban kay Teves.
“Iyong Degamo case po ay nai-file na din po sa Manila. So iyon po ay nasa korte na rin at hinihintay na lang din po natin ang warrant of arrest doon. Alam naman ho natin iyong mga facts noong kaso na iyon dahil napaka-publicized po ng incident na iyan,” pahayag ni Clavano.
Ayon kay Clavano, may isa pang kasong murder ang isinampa kay Teves dahil sa nangyari noong 2019 kung saan tatlo ang namatay.
Isinampa aniya ang kaso sa Bayawan sa Negros Occidental.
“However we are requesting from the Supreme Court through the Office of the Court Administrator na mai-transfer sana dito sa Manila dahil po siyempre gusto natin na neutral ground po ang magiging venue para sa kaso. Iyon po ay nasa korte na, hinihintay lang po natin iyong warrant of arrest na lumabas sa 2019 cases,” pahayag ni Clavano.
