Streamlining sa visa application ng mga dayuhang estudyante, suportado ni Pangulong Marcos
Suportado ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang rekomendasyon ng Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) na iksihan ang proseso ng visa applications para sa mga turista at international students.
Sa pakikipagpulong ni Pangulong Marcos sa mga kinatawan ng PSAC Tourism Sector Group, sinabi nito na dapat na gamitin na rin ang online platforms para maging kaakit-akit ang Pilipinas sa mga dayuhang turista.
Sa rekomendasyon ng PSAC, nais nito nag awing standard na ang information application procedure at information sa student visa requirements at accreditation sa mga clinics para sa medical clearance at certificale requirement para sa mga foreign students.
Inirekomenda rin ng PSAC na payagan ang online submission ng student visa applications.
Inirekomenda naman ng trade department nag awing simply ang documentary requirements at automatic accreditation ng Level 3 hospitals sa buong bansa para sa tourists’ medical clearances.
“So, I think the easiest… is to align ourselves … We can choose to remove it altogether, the requirement for medical certificate, or if we will continue to require medical certificate, as long as it’s a recognized clinic, and it comes out in the actual list of hospitals or something like that. I’m sure there’s a way,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Nasa 3.4 milyong dayuhang turista na ang bumisita sa bans amula Enero hanggang Agosto 14. Mas mataas ito ng 71.4 percent kumpara sa 4.8 milyong baseline industry target ngayong taon.
Target ng pamahalaan na kumite ng P2.24 bilyong ngayong taon sa turismo at makapagbigay ng trabaho ng 5.3 milyon.
Nasa 4.8 milyong dayuhang turista at 85.1 milyong domestic travellers ang target ng pamahalaan ngayong taon.
