Ito ay dahil sa inaasahang magtutuloy-tuloy hanggang sa katapusan ng taon ang pagtaas sa presyo ng produktong petrolyo.
Ayon kay Director Rino Abad ng Oil Industry Management Bureau ng Department of Energy, bababa lamang ang presyo ng produktong petrolyo kung bababa ang demand sa merkado.
Pero sa kasaysayan anya, tumataas ang demand sa langis tuwing ber months.
Sabi ni Abad, hindi kasi
balanse ang produksyon ng langis sa global demand dahil sa pagbabawas ng produksyon ng Saudi Arabia at Russia.
Mula Hulyo hanggang ngayong linggo ay pang-pitong beses nang tumaas ang presyo sa kasa litro ng gasolina, diesel at kerosene.
Ayon sa DOE, bago ang price adjustments ngayong araw ay umabot na sa P8-P10 ang nadagdag sa presyo ng langis.
Sa ngayon ang pump price ng gasolina ay nasa P73, diesel P67, at kerosene P79-80.
