Comelec sinabing agad makakapagsagawa ng election kapalit ni expelled Rep. Arnie Teves

Naghihintay na lamang ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) ng utos mula sa Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso para sa pagsasagawa ng special elections sa naiwang distrito ni dating Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves.
Ito ang sinabi ni Comelec chairman George Erwin Garcia at aniya agad silang magsasagawa ng special election.
Paliwanag ni Garcia, eksklusibong diskresyo ng Kamara ang magpatawag ng special election.
“Congress will have to declare a vacancy and then direct us to hold a special election,” ani Garcia.
Sa ngayon si House Speaker Martin Romualdez ang tumatayong kinatawan ng ikatlong distrito ng lalawigan simula nang suspindihin si Teves ng Kamara.
Noong Miyerkules, sa botong 265 tuluyan nang sinipa si Teves ng mga kapwa mambabatas.
