Maraming constructions projects sa MM bigo sa OSH – DOLE
Mayorya ng mga construction project sa Metro Manila ay may mga paglabag occupational safety and health (OSH) standard, ayon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Nabatid na sa binisitang 95 construction projects mula Agosto 1 hanggang noong Martes, Agosto 15, 52 ang nadiskubreng may mga paglabag.
Karaniwan sa mga nadiskubreng paglabag ay kabiguan na magsumite o walang kopya ng Construction Safety and Health Program at kawalan o kakulangan OSH staff tulad ng safety officers at first responders.
Bukod pa dito ang kawalan ng safety and health committee, walang personal protective equipment (PPE) ang mga trabahador, at kulan o maling paggamit ng PPE.
Kasunod nito ang paalala ng kagawaran sa istriktong pagsunod sa OSH standards para matiyak ang ligtas na pagta-trabaho.
