Bucor official nagbitiw sa puwesto sa gitna ng kontrobersiya

Inanunsiyo ni Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gregorio Pio Catapang na tinanggap na niya ang pagbibitiw ni Angelina Bautista sa gitna ng kontrobersiya sa kawanihan.
Epektibo noong Agosto 11 ang pagbibitiw ni Bautista bilang Executive Assistant sa opisina ni Catapang.
Idinahilan nito na hindi na siya komportable na magtrabaho dahil sa mga kontrobersiya na idinadawit ang kanyang pangalan, gayundin ang mga gawa-gawang alegasyon.
“My resignation does not mean that I am admitting there malicious and unfounded issues incriminating my untainted years of public service,” sambit ni Bautista sa kanyang resignation letter.
Dagdag pa niya: “I wanted peace, not only for my family but for the entire Bureau of Corrections, I wanted to leave proud, untainted and uncorrupted, regardless of how people might perceive it.”
Tiniyak naman ni Catapang na bagamat nagbitiw na si Bautista magpapatuloy ang imbestigasyon para malaman ang katotohanan at upang mabigyan pagkakataon na rin ang huli na linisin ang kanyang pangalan.
