Nasa P875.6 bilyong pondo ang inilaan ng Department of Budget and Management para sa medical care at suportahan ang mga mahihirap na Filipino.
Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, pagtupad ito sa pangako ng administrasyon na gamitin ng maayos ang pondo.
“Let me remind everyone that every peso in the P5.768 trillion FY 2024 national budget was optimized so we can remain on track with our Agenda for Prosperity. It is the administration’s fervent hope that this budget will continue to lay the groundwork for future-proofing the economy and making the country’s growth inclusive and sustainable, not just for the Filipinos today, but also the future generations,” pahayag Pangandaman.
Sinabi naman ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na layunin ng administrasyon na bigyan ng libreng healthcare ang bawat Filipino.
“By eliminating barriers to healthcare, such as financial constraints or discrimination, we can ensure that essential medical care will be accessible to all,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Sa naturang programa, nasa P101.5 bilyon ang nakalaan sa National Health Insurance Program ng Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth).
Nasa P1 bilyong pondo ang inilaan ng Department of Budget and Management para sa Cancer Control Program for the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases.
Mayroon din aniyagn P1 bilyong dagdag din para sa Cancer Assistance Fund.
Nasa P8.3 bilyon naman ang inilaan para sa Family Health and Responsible Parenthood programs.
Sa naturang pondo, nakalaan ang P7.1 bilyon para sa Immunization, P2750 milyon para sa Family Planning and Reproductive Health, P212 milyon para sa Oral Health at P176 milyon Nutrition.
