Ambag ng kababaihan sa kabuhayan, ekonomiya napakahalaga – Sen. Cynthia Villar
Sinabi ni Senator Cynthia Villar na sa usapin ng “women empowerment” hindi lamang nangangahulugan na proteksyon laban sa karahasan o pang-aabuso.
Sa kanyang mensahe sa National Summit ng Lady Local Legislators’ League (4L) of the Philippines, iginiit ni Villar na nangangahulugan din ang women empowerment ng pagkakataon na kumita.
Sa kasalukuyang panahon, aniya mahalagang ‘contributors’ sng kababaihan sa paglago ng ekonomiya.
“It goes without saying that economically empowered women can augment their family’s income, put food on the table, and play pivotal roles in raising and educating their children,” aniya.
Dagdag pa niya:”And these well-bred and educated children will then become the future assets of our nation.”
Pagdidiin ni Villar na kapag nabigyan ng kapangyarihan at pagkakataon ang mga kababaihan, lalakas ang lipunan.
Pagbabahagi pa ng senadora na nakapagsimula na siya ng 3,000 community-based livelihood projects at enterprises, na mayorya ng mga bumubuo ay mga kababaihan.
