P13 milyong donasyon nalikom ng QC gov’t para sa Learning Recovery TRust Fund

Nasa P13 milyong cash donations ang nalikom ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Quezon City para sa ikinasang dalawang buwang Learning Recovery Trust Fund.

Ayon kay Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, bilang isang dating guro at education advocate, mahalaga ang special fund para mapunan ang pondo dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic.

“I really believe in my heart that education holds the key to bring our country upward. With this program, we are ensuring that all public school students are given the necessary learning tools and programs to strengthen their foundational reading and numeracy skills,” pahayag ni Belmonte.

Galing ang donasyon sa private organizations, business groups, gaya ng Rotary International District 3780, Hiranand Group, Philippine Chamber of Commerce at Industry-Quezon City, QC Association of Filipino-Chinese Businessmen Inc. at mga indibidwal na nagnanais na tumulong.

Nagpasalamat si Belmonte sa Quezon City Police District (QCPD) na nagbigay ng ₱500,000 para sa QC Learning Recovery Fund.

Nabatid na base sa isinagawang pilot run ng programa, 58 na estudyante na non-readers mula sa Commonwealth Elementary School at Bago Bantay Elementary School ang nakatanggap ng high-dosage tutoring sessions sa loob ng walong linggo.
