PNP humugot ng 102 bagong pulis sa mga ex-MILF, MNLF rebels

Nanumpa upang maging alagad ng batas ng Pilipinas ang 102 dating miyembro ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) at Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) sa Camp General Salipada Pendatun sa Parang, Maguindanao.
Pinangunahan ni Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos ang panunumpa ng mga bagong pulis at aniya ito ay makasaysayan.
Nabatid na ang 102 ay mula sa 11,000 aplikante na sumailalim sa masusing pagsasanay at screening process.
“Undeniably you will be facing challenges, hardships, and struggles. Sa mga susunod na araw marami pang hamon sa buhay. At the end of this road, be reminded of the success of overcoming the strenuous training in molding you to become a better version of yourself, in discovering your potential to make a difference,” ani Abalos.Ang mga bagong pulis ay nasa “temporary status” at pansamantalang itatalaga sa Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division para sa mga karagdagang pagsasanay. “Today you will be clothed with the uniform of the PNP and may this remind you of your mission to guard the vulnerable. Be the champion of truth and be the example of bravery and responsibility,” mensahe ng kalihim sa mga baging pulis. Pinasalamatan din niya ang MILF at MNLF sa kanilang suporta alinsunod sa Republic Act 11054 o ang Organic Law for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. Target ng PNP na makakuha ng 400 bagong pulis mula sa mga dating rebelde bago ang pagtatapos ng taon.
