PCG sa publiko: Magkaisa sa gitna ng Ayungin Shoal incident

Nanawagan si Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea (WPS), CG Commodore Jay Tarriela sa publiko na magkaisa.

Pahayag ito ni Tarriela sa gitna ng pambobomba ng tubig ng Chinese Coast Guard sa barko ng Pilipinas sa Ayungin Shoal para mag-resupply sa BRP Sierra Madre.

“Given current developments in the West Philippine Sea, it is important to show loyalty to country,” pahayag ni Tarriela.

“While I recognize freedom of speech as an important right guaranteed by our constitution, it should not be misused as a means to justify unpatriotic actions,” dagdag ni Tarriela.

Sinabi ng China na may binitawang pangako ang Pilipinas na aalisin na ang BRP Sierra Madre sa Ayungin Shoal.

Pero agad ito pinabulaanan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Sabi ni Pangulong Marcos, kung mayroon kang pangako na ginawa ang Pilipinas noon, kanya na itong binabawi ngayon.

“Together, we should stand united in protecting our nation’s interests and pursuing a peaceful resolution to the issues. Dahil sa West Philippine Sea, ang yaman nito ay para sa Pilipino!” pahayag ni Tarriela.
