P33.37 milyong halaga ng cash-for-work program, naipamahagi ng DSWD sa Northern Mindanao
Nasa P33.57 milyong halaga ng cash-for-work program na ang naipamahagi ng Department of Social Welfare and Development sa mga manggagawa na nawalan ng trabaho dahil sa pagbaha at intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) sa Northern Mindanao.
Ayon kay DSWD spokesman Assistant Secretary Rommel Lopez, nasa 5,922 na magsasaka ang nabigyan kahapon, Agosto 4 ng tig P5,670.
Katumbas ito ng 14 araw na trabaho na may sweldo na P405 kada araw.
Ayon kay Lopez, pansamantalang trabaho ang alok ng DSWD habang naghihintay ang mga magsasaka na makarekober mula sa pagbaha.
Tiniyak naman ni Lopez na patuloy ang cash-for-work payouts ng DSWD sa mga susunod na araw sa mga naapektuhan ng pagbaha sa Norhern Mindanao.
