P5.768-T 2024 NEP naipadala na ng Palasyo sa Kamara
Naisumite na ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) sa House of Representatives ang P5.768 trillion National Expenditure Program (NEP) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024.
Una rito, isinumite na ng DBM kay Pangulong Marcos Jr. ang panukalang budget isang araw matapos ang State of the Nation Address noong Hulyo 24.
Nakasaad sa Konstitusyon na kailangang isumite ang national budget sa loob ng 30 araw matapos ang SONA ng Pangulo.
Nabatid na ang panukalang budget para sa susunod na taon ay 9.5 porsiyento na mas mataas kumpara sa kasalukuyang budget na P5.268 trilyon.
Prayoridad ng budget ang social at economic transformation sa pamamagitan ng infrastructure development, food security, digital transformation at human capital development.
