Mandatory insurance sa LGU buildings isinusulong ni Sen. JV Ejercito
Nais ni Senate Deputy Majority Leader JV Ejercito na magkaroon ng mandatory insurance coverage ang lahat ng gusali at istraktura ng mga lokal na pamahalaan.
Sinabi niya ito sa pagdinig ng pinamumunuan niyang Committee on Local Government ukol sa inihain niyang Senate Bill 1635.
Nakasaad din sa panukala ang pagsusumite ng listahan ng mga gusali at istraktura na pag-aari ng LGUs para sa “property insurance valuation.”
Binanggit ni Ejercito na bentahe na para sa mga lokal na pamahalaan kung may insurance ang kanilang mga gusali lalo na sa pagtama ng kalamidad at sakuna.
“In times of calamity and disaster, our LGUs are often caught unprepared, impeding prompt recovery measures. Embracing insurance coverage can offer numerous advantages, including risk reduction, financial protection and enhanced disaster resilience,” katuwiran pa ng senador sa kanyang panukala,.
