P1.94 bilyong halaga ng agrikultura, nasira ng Bagyong Egay

Umabot na sa P1.94 bilyong halaga ng agrikultura ang nasira dahil sa Bagyong Egay.

Ayon sa Department of Agriculture, nasa 123,000 na magsasaka at mangingisda ang naapektuhan ng bagyo

Nasa 87,000 metrokong tonelada ng produktong pag-agrikultura at 147,000 ektaryang sakahan ang nasira.

Kabilang sa mga magsasaka at mangingisda na naapektuhan ay mula sa Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, SOCCSKSARGEN, at Caraga.

Sabi ng DA, ang mga nasirang pananim ay palay, mais, high value crops, livestock at poultry, at fisheries.

Nasira din ng bagyo ang ilang farm at fishery infrastructures, at fishing paraphernalia.

Tiniyak naman ng DA na may ayuda ang mga apektadong magsasaka at mangingisda.

May nakahanda nang 111,873 sako ng rice seeds, 14,426 sako ng corn seeds at 2,582 kilo ng ibat ibang vegetable.

Mayroon ding drugs at biologics para sa livestock at poultry; P62,000 halaga ng tilapia, carp, at catfish fingerlings.

Sabi ng DA, may nakahanda ng P200 milyong halaga ng Survival and Recovery (SURE) Loan Program mula sa Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC) kung saan maaring makapag-loan ng hanggang P25,000 at babayaran ng tatlong taon ng walang interes.

May nakahanda rin na P500 milyong halaga ng Quick Response Fund (QRF) para sa rehabilitasyon.

Pinapayuhan ang mga apektadodong magsasaka at mangingsida na magtungo lamang sa pinakamalapit na tanggapan ng DA para maayudahan.
