P35.8 milyong halaga ng ayuda, ipinamigay sa biktima ng Bagyong Egay
Nasa P35.851 milyong halaga ng food at non-food items na ang naipamahagi ng pamahalaan at iba pang partners sa mga biktima ng Bagyong Egay.
Sa pulong balitaan sa Quezon City, sinabi ni Office of Civil Defense Director Edgar Posadas, kabilang sa mga nagbigay ng ayuda ang local government units at non-government organizations.
Nagpadala na rin aniya ang Department of Health ng logistical requirements, OCD augmentation, at emergency telecommunication para sa search, rescue at retrieval teams.
Sabi ni Posadas, nasa red alert status ang OCD dahil na rin sa Bagyong Falcon.
“At sa ngayon po, para po tutukan iyong response efforts natin at maka-focus po tayo doon sa mga immediate needs na ipinararating sa atin, ang inyo pong NDRRMC-OC sa Camp Aguinaldo ay naka-Red Alert po and so with other nine regional offices po out of our 17 regional offices all over the country,” pahayag ni Posadas.
“Because ayon po sa pag-uulat kahapon, sir, during our weather outlook meeting sa Camp Aguinaldo, patuloy pong ie-enhance nito iyong habagat,” dagdag ni Posadas.
Hindi aniya muna ibababa ang alert status dahil sa bagong bagyo.
“So basically, it’s the same preparation kaya nga po hindi po natin binababa iyong alert status ng emergency operation center ng OCD/NDRRMC sa Camp Aguinaldo and it is at its highest alert level po at red,” pahayag ni Posadas.
Nasa 14 katao na ang nasawi dahil sa Bagyong Egay.
