KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA—Hindi isusuko ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang claim ng Pilipinas na pag-aari nito ang Sabah.
Sabi ni Pangulong Marcos, mayroong outstanding claim ang Pilipinas at hindi ito binabawi.
Ayon sa Pangulo, pinag-usapan nila ni Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim ang usapin sa Sabah.
Pero hindi aniya naging malalim ang usapan at tumagal lamang ito ng halos 15 minuto.
“But always— I mean, it is something that neither the Philippines nor the Malaysia is withdrawing, but we still find the modus vivendi so that we can work with each other without coming into conflict over just one single issue,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
“It is as usual when it comes to these diplomatic issues, it is up to us to define what our relationship is. And I think we have agreed that there is a tacit agreement at the very least that we do not – that we talk about all of the things that are solvable, all the issues that we can actually do. So when the time comes, perhaps we will come back to the issue. I’m sure it will come up again,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
