PBBM mag-uuwi ng $20-M investment sa cattle raising at milk mula Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Nasa US$20 milyong halaga ng investment sa  cattle raising at milk production ang naiuwi ni Pangulong  Marcos Jr. mula sa tatlong araw na state visit dito.

Sa pakikipagpulong ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., sa mga negosyante, sinabi nito na welcome sa kanya ang balak ng Malaysian dairy company Farm Fresh Berhad na makipagtulungan sa gobyerno para sa  cattle breeding para milk production. Naghahanap ang naturang kompanya ng  200 hanggang 400 ektarya ng lupa na maaring upahan. “In the Philippines, when you talk about the livestock, we talk about [hog] and chicken, we don’t talk about cattle.  Maybe it’s time to introduce it to the market.  We are here to see what we can do to make the project successful,” dagdag ng Pangulo. Target ng kompanya ang Batangas at Laguna partikular na sa  University of Philippines-Los Baños campus sa Famy. Inaasahang sa taong 2028 magiging operational ang bagong negosyo kung saan nasa 200 local workers ang mabibigyan ng trabaho. Nabatid na mayroon ng konstruksyon o ang kompanya sa  6,000 sqm. dairy processing facility sa San Simon, Pampanga para sa  fresh milk production.
