Marcos kay Brawner: I-recalibrate ang internal security operations
Inatasan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. si bagong Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief of staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. na i-recalibrate ang internal security operations ng bansa.
Sa talumpati ng Pangulo sa change of command ceremony sa Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, sinabi nito na dapat na maghanda si Branwer ng ano mang uri ng contingency.
“Given your extensive experience in safeguarding peace in conflict-affected areas, I urge you to recalibrate our internal security operations, so that we can deliver public services in geographically isolated and disadvantaged communities,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Kumpiyansa ang Pangulo na dahil sa lawakng karanasan ni Brawner, magagampanan nito ng maayos ang tungkulin at mas ligtas na bansa dahil saa pagbabalik loob ng mga rebelde.
Sabi ng Pangulo, dapat din na maghanda ang AFP dahil sa ikinakasang modernisasyon.
Pinalitan ni Brawner si General Andres Centino na itinalaga naman ni Pangulong Marcos bilang Presidential Adviser on the West Philippine Sea.
