Pagkamatay ng OFW sa Hong Kong, walang foul play ayon sa DFA
Walang nakitang foul play ang mga awtoridad sa pagkamatay ng isang overseas Filipino worker na nakitang palutang-lutang sa Tsing Yi Pier sa Hong Kong.
Sa Laging Handa Public Briefing, sinabi ni Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Paul Cortes na base sa initial investigation ng Hong Kong, walang indikasyon na mayroong foul play.
Wala rin aniyang person of interest na hinahanap ang mga awtoridad.
“Well, according to initial investigation, hindi po, wala pong foul play being looked at. But, of course, we have to wait for the official report of the cause of death po. For now, wala naman hong foul play, wala naman hong person of interest thus far,” pahayag ni Cortes.
Pero ayon kay Cortes, mas makabubuti na hintayon ang official report.
Sabi ni Cortes, naabisuhan na ang pamilya at employer ng OFW.
Nakikipag-ugnayan na rin aniya ang Department of Migrant Workers sa pamilya ng OFW para mabigyan ng karampatang ayuda.
