Bilang ng senior high school students pumalo sa higit 1.1 milyon
Mahigit isang linggo matapos magbukas muli ang mga klase sa mga pampublikong paaralan at ilang pribadong eskuwelahan, inanunsiyo ng Department of Education (DepEd) na umaabot na sa higit 1.1 milyon na ang Senior High School students.
Base sa datos mula kay Asst. Sec. Jesus Mateo, sa naturang bilang, 721,305 ang nasa public schools at ang natitirang 449,779 naman ay naka-enroll sa private schools.
Mayroon din 18,992 ang nasa state universities and colleges.
Base pa rin sa enrollment statistics, 725,939 sa mga grade 11 students ay nag enroll sa academic tracks at ang 458,919 ay mas pinili ang technical-vocational courses.
Binanggit pa ni Mateo na sa 10,964 public and private schools, higher education institutions at state universities and colleges na may senior high school program, 982 na lang ang wala pang naisusumiteng datos sa kagawaran.
