Ginastos sa bagong PAGCOR logo sisilipin sa Kamara

Nais paimbestigahan ng Makabayan Bloc sa Kamara ang ginamit na pondo ng bayan para sa bagong logo ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation’s (Pagcor).

Inihain nina Act Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro, Gabriela Party-list Rep. Arlene Brosas, at Kabataan Party-list Rep. Raoul Manuel ang House Resolution (HR) No.1120.

“The questionable procurement of Pagcor’s new logo raises concerns about possible corruption and misuse of public funds. We must hold those responsible accountable. Lubog na nga ang Pillpinas sa utang at umabot na ng P14.1 trilyon tapos nagsasayang ng pera sa ganito,” ani Castro.

Ang bagong logo, na kulay asul at pula, ay iprinisinta sa pagdiriwan ng ika-40 anibersaryo ng Pagcor noong nakaraang Martes.

Isinaad sa resolusyon na ang contract ng logo ay P3.036 milyon.

Binanggit din ng mga mambabatas na ang PrintPlus, ang contractor, ay maliit at bagong kompaniya lamang base sa record mula sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). It was registered on March 24, 2021, with only a barangay scope for its business name.

Bago pa ito, hiningi na ng Makabayan ang pag-iimbestiga sa kontrobersyal na “Love the Philippines,” ang bagong slogan ng Department of Tourism (DOT) na ginastusan naman ng P49 milyon.
