P48.8 milyong pondo para sa drug rehab center sa Cavite, inilabas na ng DBM
Inilabas na ng Department of Budget and Management ang P48.8 milyong pondo para pagpapatayo ng Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Center sa Trece Martires, Cavite,
Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, ibinigay na ang naturang pondo sa Department of Health.
“Among the priorities of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is to not just fully enforce the law when it comes to illegal drug use and abuse but also on rehabilitation of victims or drug users,” pahayag ni Pagandaman.
Naka-charge aniya ang pondo sa Grant Proceeds mula sa Japan International Cooperation Agency – Program for Consolidated Rehabilitation of Illegal Drug Users (JICA – CARE), Automatic Appropriations sa ilalim ng FY 2023 ng General Appropriations Act (GAA).
“The government will see to it that the upkeep of the country’s existing facilities on drug abuse treatment and rehabilitation will continue by allotting necessary budget for that purpose,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.
