Rep. Arnie Teves hindi imbitado sa SONA ni PBBM Jr.
Hindi maaring dumalo kahit “virtually” sa ikalawang State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., sa Hulyo 24 si suspended Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo Teves (3rd District).
Ito ang sinabi ni House Secretary General Reginald Velasco sa katuwiran na suspenido si Teves hanggang Hulyo 30.
Magugunita na pinatawan ng panibagong 60-day suspension si Teves dahil sa patuloy na pagpasok sa trabaho bilang mambabatas.
Paliwanag ni Velasco suspendido din ang mga pribilehiyo ni Teves bilang miyembro ng Kamara.
“So unfortunately, we won’t be able to send him any invitation because he is still suspended,” ani Velasco.
Noong nakaraang linggo, ibinahagi ni Teves na may hiling siya na makabahagi sa SONA.
“Kasi pag suspended ka you have no access to the plenary as well as Committee hearings. Yun. Yun yung House rules natin so we’d have to live with that,” paliwanag pa ni Velasco.
