Doble kayod ngayon si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. para isulong ang modernisasyon sa Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Sabi ng Pangulo, naantala kasi ng ilang taon ang modernisasyon dahil sa pandemya sa COVID-19.
Sa panayam kay Pangulong Marcos sa graduation ceremony ng Philippine Army Officer Candidate Course “Gaigmat” Class 58-2023 sa Taguig City, sinabi nito hindi pababayaan ang AFP.
“Kung ano ‘yung schedule natin medyo naatras lang nang kaunti because of the pandemic. But now, we are proceeding back to our established schedule,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
“Hopefully, we will catch up and, in a year, maybe two, we will already be back to where we were supposed to be at that time before the pandemic,” dagdag ng Pangulo.
Balak ng AFP na bumili ng karagdagang gamit para sa external defense.
