Sinuspindi ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang accreditation ng mga bagong driving school sa bansa. Bunsod ito ng gagawing pag-rebyu sa regulatory guidelines sa operasyon ng driving schools. Kasabay nito ang anunsiyo na pansamantala din suspindido ang pagtanggap ang pag-proseso sa mga aplikasyon para sa accreditation ng mga bagong driving schools. Epektibo ang suspensyon noong nakaraang Biyernes base sa memorandum na inisyu ni LTO officer-in-charge Hector Villacorta at may petsang Hunyo 23. Ayon kay Villacorta na ang regional accreditation committees ang magpo-proseso ng mga natanggap na aplikasyon bago pa man ang suspensyon. Rerebyuhin ang LTO Memorandum Circular JMT – 2023 – 2390, na naglalaman ng mga alintuntunin sa “accreditation, supervision and control” ng driving schools, gayundin sa “standardization of driver” at pagsasagawa ng “driver’s education.”
