40 lugar sa Pilipinas tinukoy na most risk areas dahil sa climate change ayon sa CCC
Nasa 40 lugar sa bansa ang tinukoy ng Climate Change Commission at Department of Interior and Local Government na nasa most risk areas dahil sa climate change.
Ayon kay CCC Commissioner Robert Borje, mas makabubuting hindi na muna ibunyag ang 40 lugar dahil may ginagawa ng whole of government approach para matugunan ito.
Sabi ni Borje, labis na nakaalarma ang climate crisis hindi lamang sa Pilipinas kundi maging sa buong mundo.
Buhay kasi aniya ng tao ang nakataya sa climate crisis.
Kaya sabi ni Borje, mahalaga na agad na matugunan ang problema.
May mga programa na rin naman aniya na ginagawa ang pamahalaan gaya na lamang ng pagtatanim ng puno at iba pa.
“The climate crisis is alarming not just in the Philippines but in the entire world. When it’s an existential threat, ibig sabihin buhay na ang nakataya dito,” pahayag ni Borje.
“But it becomes more alarming for countries like the Philippines because we are a developing country, we are an archipelago and we are situated where we are, and we are also products of certain historical processes,” pahayag ni Borje.
